This Privacy Policy describes how your information is collected, stored, and shared when you use our Products and Services. Our Products and Services include licenses to use our software applications, licenses to use our software application programming interfaces, as well licenses to access content provided on our websites at

Types and methods of information collection

When you access or use our Products and Services we automatically receive, collect, and store the following information:

  • Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your device to the Internet

  • Brand, type, manufacturer, and version of the web browser, Internet service provider, device, operating system, and software application used to connect to our services

  • Attributes of the device, such as device performance

  • Attributes of peripheral audio devices connected to your device such as headphones or external speakers

  • Session information such as:

    • Time stamps to measure the duration of the connection to or usage of our Products and Services

    • Network connection type (e.g. wifi, 3G, LTE, Bluetooth)

    • Response times you experience when using our services

    • Unique identifiers that allow us to distinguish authorized and unauthorized access to our Products and Services

    • The frequency at which different parts of our Products or Services are accessed

    • Date, time, time zone, and approximate geographical location at which our Products and Services are used

    • We also collect what websites, advertisements, and search terms referred you to our Products and Services, as well as the methods used to browse away from our websites

We refer to this automatically collected information as Device Information. This information does not directly include individual details such as your name, address, telephone number or payment information, but it may contain a reference number that is unique to you or the device that you use.

When you access or use our Products and Services we may also automatically receive, collect, and store the Usage Information listed below. The purpose of collecting this information is to enable certain product features, to troubleshoot technical issues, and/or to improve the product experience in general. Usage Information may include:

  • Error codes or other processing results that may occur when data is being processed with our Product or Services

  • Information about actions taken when interacting with our Products and Services

  • a name or any combination of names, URL, and/or any other identifier that uniquely references an input data resource within a media library, folder, playlist, a storage device or online storage account, but only if you have granted the Product or Service access to the resource, for example by confirming an access request dialogue or by opening the file that contains the input data resource.

We may create summaries without references to individual details from Usage Information, but we do not sell or otherwise share your Usage Information with third party companies (see below). Usage Information may also contain a reference number that is unique to you or the device that you use.

We collect Device Information and Usage Information using the following technologies:

  • Cookies are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit .

  • Log files track actions occurring while using our Products and Services, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.

  • Web beacons, Tags, and Pixels are electronic files used to record information about how you browse our websites.

  • We may automatically generate other unique identifiers instead of using web browser Cookies. Technology such as the one described in IETF RFC-4122 ( ) may be used for this purpose.

For our Products and Services that offer the possibility to provide communications such as comments, feedback, reviews, recommendations, reports of technical issues, or create a personal profile, we additionally collect personally identifiable information including your name, email, password, as well as the communication. We refer to this information as Account Information.


Additionally, when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase of at least one of our Products or Services, we may collect personal identifiable information including name, payment information (such as credit card numbers), purchase history, billing address, shipping address, email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as Order Information.


Furthermore, since electronic communication systems are mostly automated, we may receive, collect, and store any additional information that you submit to us in emails or questionnaires, or provide to us in any other way. We refer to this information as Miscellaneous Information. Miscellaneous Information is not protected beyond our data protection and retention policies outlined below. We may not be able to meaningfully interact with or react to all pieces of information sent to us, and we may disregard or remove it at any time.

When we use the term Typical Personal Information in this Privacy Policy, we are only talking about:

We may contact you to notify you regarding your account, to troubleshoot technical issues with you, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. If in line with the communication preferences you have shared with us, we may also poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, or send you updates about our company, products, or services. For these purposes we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail.

Sharing your Typical Personal Information

We may share your Typical Personal Information with third parties to help us use it as described above. Sharing your Personal Information

We do not share Usage Information or knowingly share Miscellaneous information with third party companies. We may, however, share any Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

Please note that in general we do not alter our data collection and use practices for our Products and Services when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

Your rights

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access Personal Information we hold about you and to ask that your Personal Information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.

Additionally, if you are a European resident, we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through our websites), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

Data protection and retention

We implement numerous technical and organizational measures to help protect the security of your Personal Information, including but not limited to different types of encryption, password protection, and secure hashing where appropriate. In addition, we only work with well-established, reputable business partners for web hosting, cloud computing, and payment processing. For example, when you purchase any of our Products or Services through an app store, your payment information is processed by the app store as securely as any other payment to the same app store. For orders through our websites, the name of the payment processing company will be visible to you. When you place an order through our websites, we will maintain your Order Information for our records, unless and until you ask us to delete this information. At your request, we will delete or anonymize your Personal Information so that it no longer identifies you, unless we are legally allowed or required to maintain certain personal data, including situations such as the following:

  • If there is an unresolved issue relating to your account, such as an outstanding credit on your account or an unresolved claim or dispute we will retain the necessary personal data until the issue is resolved.

  • Where we need to retain the personal data for our legal, tax, audit, and accounting obligations, we will retain the necessary personal data for the period required by applicable law; and/or,

  • Where necessary for our legitimate business interests such as fraud prevention or to maintain the security of our users.

Our Products and Services are not intended for individuals under the age of 13. Furthermore, our Products and Services are also not knowingly or intentionally offered to individuals whose age makes it illegal to process their Personal Information, or whose age requires parental consent for the processing of their Personal Information under the GDPR or other local law. We refer to these individuals as Minors. Please do not misrepresent your age, and do not try to use our Products or Services if you do not fulfill the age requirements above. We will take reasonable steps to delete the Personal Information of Minors, which may result in the deletion of all Account Information of the individual.

Changes and updates to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately after they are posted on our websites.
